What relationships could you strike up with new people (be they new clients or new friends) if you could just remember names much more easily? How much more professional would your next presentation be if you didn’t need any notes? Appointments, processes, PIN numbers, customers, orders, product specifications, arrgghh! So much of our daily success depends on our memory!

Well help is at hand tonight thanks to a very interesting person called Barry Mapp. Barry is pretty well qualified to teach us tonight. He has Memorised Pi (3.14159 etc) to 100 decimal places - forwards and then backwards! Barry competed in the 'World Memory Championships back in 1997 and together with his colleague Dave Turner (who also runs memory events for us) is one of few people in the UK able to perform one of the World's great Memory Challenges called the Knight's Tour - Blindfold!

He is also a really nice guy to spend an evening with, who just loves to share his skills with others.

The techniques he will share with us are simple, practical and really work as well. Barry will demonstrate that we all have a good memory - the only problem is no-one showed us how to use it properly! So come along and discover for yourself what it’s all about.

FEEDBACK FROM THE LAST WORKSHOP

● I went to the Memory Masterclass last night in West Brom - brilliant! I was amazed at how easy it was to apply the techniques Dave taught us and I think it'll make a real difference to me. A great evening and well worth the effort on a Monday night.

●The memory master class far exceeded my expectations of what would be involved.  I have what I thought was the worlds worst memory a fact soon confirmed when Dave asked us take part in his first activity to measure our memory.  In which I scored a meagre 1 out of 20 (duly contrite).

●The co-ordinator and Richard were both gracious and helpful, making me feel welcome on my own (as always happens when attending Spice activities).  ~The tutor made the event fun and interesting, making us laugh and soon feel relaxed.  My initial worries that I would have my dreadful memory exposed in the worst possible fashion were soon quelled, as Dave Turner used extremely good tutoring skills to encourage us to speak without putting anyone on the spot.

●I started the event after a hard day at work thinking, 'Should I have come here tonight, I am so tired?' By the time I went home my mind was buzzing and I was wide awake and felt I was actually using parts of my brain that had lain dormant for a long time.

●I have already recommended this event to many of my friends including those that have recently joined Spice on my recommendation, and they are going to look for it.  I have told everyone at work of the 'new skills' I have discovered and the value for money this event proved. As an aside Birmingham City Council run a similar event and charge £99 for it!

●By the end of the workshop, we had been given many fascinating strategies to help us increase our personal memories and methods of use.  The last exercise we took part in measured our memories using our new 'tools.'  Remembering my memory had scored 1 out of 20 to begin I was not only amazed but fascinated to discover my score had increased to 16 out of 20 by the end of the session.  I call that an investment in my future and money very well spent!

Thank you Spice for an amazing workshop/event
