This area
really is canoe country! The team from Forest Adventure have come up with a
varied route for single seat kayaks - enjoyable for absolute beginners and
practiced paddlers alike. They have planned out for us, one of the most scenic,
most photographed, stretches of the Wye, from
FEEDBACK FROM THE LAST ONE
..
● I really enjoyed
the whole day. There was no pressure and it was an extremely relaxing and
enjoyable way to spend a saturday. My fellow spicers were a great laugh and
made the day even better.
● The kayak river adventure was great fun
and I'm very pleased I did it. The instructor was patient and
informative and the group were a friendly bunch of people. I wasn't sure if
doing this event in March may be rather cold and miserable, but in fact, while
the canoeing was gentle and relaxing on the whole, we
kept perfectly warm by paddling down stream. It also meant the river was
quiet and the Wye valley is a beautiful location at any time of
year. I think the day was quite good value for money as you got
instruction and an experienced canoeist, should anyone capsize, but my
recollection is that the event is a lot more expensive now than a few
years ago when I first did the same thing.
